I am sending out a request to all of the MOBS out there that would like to tell me what they have learned throughout the wedding planning process!

If you are at the beginning stages:

  • What frightens you most?
  • Are you wanting more or less control over the bride or grooms choices?
  • What are you most excited about?
If you are near the finish line or your daughter has just recently been married:
  • If you had to do it all over again – what would you change?
  • Have you gotten along well with the parents of the groom? Why or Why not?
  • If you had a non-traditional wedding, how did you stay involved?  Did you understand what they were doing or were you totally in the dark?

These are are my favorite of portraits of them at the Decatur House and at St. John’s Church.  I posted some detail shots recently – but these are my favorite portraits!

This photo of Erin with her bridesmaids is absolutely timeless.  I can actually compare this particular photo to some of my mom’s friends photos, photos from 10 years ago and I am sure I will be able to compare it 30 years from now.  Beautiful women in strapless and flattering cocktail dresses with a stunning bride and her beautiful dress and veil.  With the backdrop of carefully designed cathedral length walls, you have the makings of a stunning, classic and timeless photo.  Bravo Jennifer, Bravo!

Congrats Erin and Chris, a truly wonderful wedding day for a truly lovely Washingtonian couple!
