What a great topic and one that’s not touched on much. So many men want to be involved but don’t want to tread on anyone’s toes and of course there’s that saying ‘it’s the bride’s day’ which is really unfair to the groom who is as much a part of it as the bride.

We didn’t think it was fair to have a bridal shower and not have a groom shower, so we ended up making different categories on our wedding registry on myregistry.com: bridal shower, groom shower, and wedding. The bridal shower category was full of stuff that mainly appeal to me, the groom one had all of the stuff Trevor had his eye on, and the wedding category was gifts that would be jointly used by both of us. I hope this starts to catch on!
