Purple floral designs with hydrangea, orchids, calla lilies and lavender

Purple has always been a hard color for couples to work with when it comes to weddings.  It’s hard to envision a purple landscape sometimes without thinking of WIlly Wonka or the sorts!  I am here to tell you – that there are ways to have purple done right!  Above are two examples.  The arrangement on the left mixes blue and white with the purple mini calla lilies – which is a great way to tone down purple as purple looks fantastic with blues and whites.  Then we have a wonderful soft purple example with the fresh lavender mother’s bouquet on the left.

Purple wedding style

Another great way is with your bouquet and candle accents.  The above bridal bouquet had accents of purple, pink, white and blue.  Then for an amazing wedding (that we had in Anguilla) we mixed gorgeous purple linens and votives along with hints of green, accents of aqua and punches of bright pink.

So if you love purple, but afraid to be overwelmed by it – these are just some of the ways to make that purple pop at your wedding (without punching you out)!
