We are sad and excited at the same time that we had to bid farewell to the US Couture and Green Wedding Consortiums this week.  The US Couture Wedding Consortium was born from our local chapter (the DC Wedding Consortium) which also launched the DC Green Wedding Consortium.  The consortiums we were able to bring the best and the brightest in the DC area under one roof to  showcase who we are both online and offline.  Then we created a directory for several cities with the same goal in mind.

Last year we had our 2nd green wedding giveaway through the green wedding consortium at the Decatur House in Washington, DC and it was an absolute success.  We appreciate all the hard work from all of the members that were a part of the consortium both locally and nationally.

However – with Elegance and Simplicity growing on various fronts and launching Eco-Beautiful Weddings in 2009 (the first ever eco-friendly wedding magazine in the world) – we needed to focus our attention on the magazine and teaching brides, grooms and vendors around the world how to make weddings greener and stylish at the same time.

Elegance and Simplicity is also growing and looking for interns for various new projects and new clients that we have acquired over the past several months.  In addition to all of our wonderful brides and  grooms, the corporate and political community have been reaching out to us and we are excited about all that we have to offer!

While we are sad to let go of the consortiums that we started back in 2002 with a group of wonderful wedding vendors, we are excited about what we are doing for our clients locally and how Eco-Beautiful Weddings Magazine has grown in the wedding community around the world.

It all goes back to our general principle here at Elegance and Simplicity – simplicity.   Simplicity almost always wins when it comes to living an elegant life and having an elegant event.  We feel that simplifying the Elegance and Simplicity, Inc. portfolio will help us better serve the community and our clients – both locally and globally.

Cheers!
