Yes – I have been REALLY behind on the cutie patootie end of life.  But I am coming back strong with one of the cutest yet!  A big bonus is that we are doing her flowers in June!  Yes!  SHE IS GETTIN’ HITCHED!  HOORAY!

We are so excited for Mary Kate and honored that she chose us to be her florist for her wedding day!  While I have gotten to know Mary Kate over the past few months, I have noticed her style and creativity and then, as she was sitting in the office with me going over flowers…it hit me – SHE IS A CUTIE PATOOTIE!  From the looks of it, her fiance is too!

I got the chance to ask her a few questions about their wedding planning process and her photography business…take a look!

1)Now that you are in the throws of wedding planning yourself, what part of the process has been fun for you?  Hard for you?

Wedding planning is something that I thought I would love.  But for me, it’s tough.  I’ve seen a lot of fantastic weddings and beautiful ideas come to life.  It’s a bit overwhelming to decide what we’re going to do for ours, and make it our own.  But that’s also been the fun part.  I’ve really enjoyed creating things for our wedding and searching antique stores with friends for inspiration and decor.  In fact one of my best friends is getting married two weeks before me- we searched high and low for vintage vases and jars and bought 100.  We split the costs and now she’s using them in her wedding and I’m using them in mine!  It’s a fun way to involve friends, cut costs, and be a little green.

I’m also starting to get a bit nervous about being the center of attention for an entire day.  I’m always the one hiding behind the camera, and in June I just won’t be able to do that!

2)What are three things you wish brides knew about you?

-I am very flexible and open with what I can offer to my clients.  I love when they have big ideas!

-I love keeping in touch with my couples and following them as their family grows.  It’s amazing to do their engagement photos and a few years later be photographing their babies.  It’s the most rewarding part of my job.

-I’m a huge animal lover and I love when clients involve their pets in their photo sessions/weddings

3)Tell us 3 things that you do to be eco-friendly!

– I only print out photos and proofs that customers specifically order

– I re-use every box that comes to my studio and recycle all paper

-I offer a beautiful, eco friendly album that is stunning! (Check it out by clicking here!)

Check back next week for another Cutie Patootie installment!

Congratulations Mary Kate & Joe!
