Here are a few of our favorite places in the DC area to go and buy local fruits and veggies for your big day!
Our favorite is Butler’s Orchard! In Germantown and possibly a hike for a few of you – make it your next weekend trip! They have a festival every weekend – so be sure to grab your family and friends to make a day out out it!!!
In Frederick there is Summers Farm – with tons of fun for everyone!
Closer in is Katie’s favorite – Spicknall’s Farm located on Old Gunpowder Mill Road in Beltsville, MD! Perfect for grabbing all the local fruits, plants and veggies you need (and some cider too!)
Ticonderoga Farms out in Chantilly is perfect for our Northern VA crowd! Lots of food, pumpkins and known for its figs!!
Great Country Farms has its fall festival going on as well. They have their D Rex as a fun showcase every year along with their “Roosteraunt”. They also offer a membership to the farm if you plan on going more than once!
