As you can tell, I left New York with an amazing amount of information and met some of the best wedding professionals in the States. One of the most innovative was Bernadette Coveney Smith (in the red blouse with her wife Jen above). I met her for the first time at the Get Married Magazine Launch Party (hence the photobooth logo). She is THE same-sex wedding resource. Based in Boston, she is now on the move to help educate wedding professionals and engaged couples on how to plan a same-sex wedding. DC is on the verge of legalizing same-sex marriages. I am bringing Bernadette to DC over the winter to educate wedding professionals and engaged couples on how to plan same-sex weddings in DC.
